Workshop Model Toolkit
Lesson Plan Template:
Created by our Love for Literacy Host, Grace Smith, this is an excellent resource to get your lessons launch the workshop model in your classroom. Descriptions are included for each section to set you and your students up for success. This lesson format can be utilized across all subject areas.

Lesson Plan Sample:
View a full lesson plan in action! This resource allows you to see the format of a completed lesson plan. Remember, you can use this lesson plan format across all subject areas -- not just literacy. I prefer to put my lessons into slideshows to help keep me on track, but it also serves as a visual for my students.

Conferring Checklist:
Keep track of your students and their progress towards the unit objectives by using this conferring checklist. This will help you notate which students are meeting the learning goal and which students need more assistance in reaching the learning target. This can inform whole group, small group, and one on one instruction/future conferring teaching points. Keep multiple copies of this to use for different units and subjects!
Pro-Tip: Make your first copy to list your student names, and then use that same copy for any future copies. Do this so you don't have to re-write the student names each time!
